Wadham College, one of the largest Oxford colleges, is looking for an experienced sales and events professional to lead the department whilst managing revenue and sales, internal and external events, and student accommodation.
As a senior member of the Domestic Bursarial management team, this post will manage a department, combining the accommodation, sales and events functions. A key aspect of this role will be to maximise student occupancy and deliver significant growth in the College’s income from commercial operations especially during out-of-term periods. This is in addition to maintaining and growing the College’s established commercial operations across a number of sites.
Supported by a team, the postholder will have delegated responsibility for a significant revenue budget. Key aspects of this varied role will include strategic planning, business development, team management and the provision of an efficient and professional service.

£46,735 - £55,755 per annum, (discretionary to £60,907) depending on skills and experience. Grade 8 of the University Salary scale.
In addition, Wadham College also pays full-time staff a further £1,500 Oxford Weighting per annum

The role requires managerial experience in sales and events within the hospitality sector or similar commercial environment, a proven ability to significantly steer strategy and business development, experience in financial budgeting and forecasting, and line management experience.
This is a permanent, full-time position and the post holder is expected to be flexible to meet the demands of the role (no less than 37.5 hours a week)
