Purpose:
Scholars School System, a project of the UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body (UKCAB), a registered charity founded in 2006, is seeking an Associate Dean-Student Success (Placement & Alumni) to lead the operational management and strategic development of the Department of Student Success, Placements, and Alumni. This key role is focused on fostering holistic student development and ensuring successful professional transitions by enhancing employability and maintaining strong alumni connections. The Associate Dean will play a crucial part in aligning departmental objectives with institutional strategies, shaping students' career paths, and strengthening the institution’s reputation through effective placement and alumni engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee programs enhancing students’ employability skills and career aspirations
- Cultivate an interconnected alumni community through collaboration, networking and mentorship programs
- Lead the student placement Team at each campus and manage the employability and placement manager
- Collaborate with senior management, other HEIs and external stakeholders to implement effective policies and procedures.
- Establish efficient processes for student success staff across all campuses
- Lead strategic planning, including policy review, goal setting and initiative development (Aligned with OFS B3 criteria)
- Maintain clear communication regarding Student success services and address concerns and feedback
- Promote student success and initiate extra-curricular programs as part of the Senior management
- Chair committee meetings and undertake additional relevant responsibilities
Requirement
Essential
- PHD in Higher Education or related field
- Must have leadership or management level 5 qualification (CMI/ILM) / MA/ MSc
- Extensive/Significant experience in senior leadership within Higher Education
- Higher Education teaching qualification PGCert/SFHEA
- Previous leadership experience in academic administration including supervisory roles.

- Up to £5K annual incentives pro-rata give quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period
- Basic hours are 9am - 6pm on site.
- Trips away from the office are often required.
- Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holiday
