The Department of Accounting in the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. The Department holds separate AACSB accreditation. Its mission is to combine superior accounting instruction and intellectual inquiry within a liberal arts environment to prepare individuals for successful careers in accounting and business. The overall standard for the Robins School of Business is excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions in high-quality academic journals, and service. Salary, benefits, and support are competitive with other AACSB accredited schools. Tenure-track faculty members typically teach a 3:2 load. The Robins School is committed to mentoring a diverse and inclusive community of undergraduate students, and small class sizes of 20-25 students allow our faculty to get to know their students very well.
A Ph.D. in Accounting is required by the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in teaching in the areas of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) and/or Audit with a commitment to incorporating data analytics and artificial intelligence into course content.
