The Post
Court, the University’s governing body is responsible for the strategic direction, institutional values and overall sustainability, ensuring we achieve our mission through strong leadership and governance. The University is seeking to appoint new Lay Members of Court and expressions of interest are sought from individuals with a strong commitment to the principles of corporate governance, and with significant leadership and/or board level experience preferably gained from working within an organisation of comparable size and complexity to the University.

The candidate should have:
- A track record as a successful leader and/or board member with executive/non-executive director experience ideally gained from working within an organisation of comparable size or complexity to the University.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to establish good working relationships with other members of Court and the University’s senior management team.
- An understanding of the Higher Education sector and political awareness.
- strong commitment to the principles of good governance including integrity, transparency and impartiality.
