Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main Duties and responsibilities
Key duties include assessing and processing international and EU applications, making offers, clearing academic and English language conditions relating to applications and liaising with international and EU applicants via phone and email to enable them to apply and gain an offer of a place at the University. You will be required to actively communicate with enquirers, applicants, and students to support them throughout the applications process, whilst working alongside academic admissions tutors to ensure accurate and timely decisions are made and university deadlines are met. You will work closely alongside international recruitment, gaining a strong understanding of overseas qualifications and education systems.
Skills and experience required
For this fast-paced role, you will need excellent organisational and IT skills, including MS Office. Proven experience of administrative work, preferably in an educational environment, is essential. You should be committed to providing a high-quality service and have excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and a proactive problem-solving approach to work. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a target-driven environment delivering excellent customer service. You will be required to have a working knowledge of how to speak Mandarin.
You will be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team, forming and maintaining effective and productive professional relationships. You will have knowledge of Higher Education academic regulations and Admissions processes, and possess a commercially focused attitude towards international higher education with advanced levels of writing communications for an international audience.
Experience of student record systems, knowledge of international or EU qualifications would all be advantageous.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of A-Levels, or equivalent qualification, or proven experience
