Are you passionate about education and looking for a role where you can make a tangible impact? Do you excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About the role
This role will provide essential operational and management support to our Faculty’s exciting and diverse academic programmes.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with Programmes Managers and fellow Officers to ensure smooth, efficient delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
This is an opportunity to develop your skills while playing a key part in shaping the experience of our students.
You’ll work in a job-split with another Programmes Officer to lead and manage a small team of dedicated administrative staff, working together to support the Faculty’s education portfolio.
The post will directly input into enhancing the quality of academic programmes and the student experience, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly.
The Faculty is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, meaning you’ll have plenty of opportunities to shape and evolve processes, improving both your own skills and the efficiency of our operations.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team, all working towards a shared goal – creating an exceptional academic experience for all.
This role is part time (0.5 FTE, 18.25 hours per week).
We require the successful candidate to work on a Wednesday and Thursday due to the timing of committees and meetings the post holder is required to attend. There is flexibility over how the remaining hours are spread across the week.
What we are looking for
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach that adapts to change and continuous improvements.
- Excellent communication and people skills to establish relationships across teams.
- Strong digital literacy using multiple online systems
- Significant experience in an administrative role, ideally within a University or Education environment (though not essential).
- A team-oriented approach, dedicated to supporting colleagues and achieving common goals.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the Programmes Manager (Development) Emma Scrase at efs24@bath.ac.uk however, please ensure your application is submitted via the University website.
