It is a very exciting opportunity to join our busy and friendly Alumni & Development Office as we are celebrating our 675th anniversary this year with our community across the globe in over 40 different countries. We launched our £50 million fundraising campaign last month, and there is plenty more to do and see for the next 12 months.
We are seeking an efficient and organised administrative Database Assistant to join the existing team. As the Database Assistant, you should have had experience of working in an office environment and data entry, be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, have good organisational skills, and be comfortable handling various administrative tasks.
The working hours are between 08:00 - 18:00, for a minimum of 28 hours, Monday to Friday. The work is on-site, at our Central Site, in the city centre of Cambridge, easily accessible by foot or public transports (no parking on site).

Duties
The successful candidate will assist all members of the team with a variety of administrative tasks to help facilitate the smooth running of the office. Your duties will be varied and include:
- Data updates and improvements to our alumni database (Raiser's Edge) to include processing returned mail and email bounce-backs
- Processing data updates from our online alumni community, Linkhall and amending records on our database accordingly
- Assisting with any data cleaning, data entry tasks, and mailing tasks, including downloading monthly updates from the University database.
- Managing sending the "grad packs mailing" to those who graduate throughout the year
- Helping to process single gifts and assisting with data updates and mailings associated with fundraising appeals
- Answering alumni enquiries by phone and email and liaising with other departments as necessary
- Assisting with preparation and marketing for a range of alumni and College events, including setting up booking pages online, managing bookings and producing print material
