Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for supporting academic excellence? We are looking for a dedicated Faculty Administrator to join our team within the Faculty of Education, Arts, Science and Technology.
In this post, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to academic teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of faculty activities. A key focus of the post is supporting work aligned with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) and Ofsted requirements, making your contribution essential to maintaining the Faculty’s high standards and regulatory compliance.
You’ll work with academic leads, professional services, and external stakeholders to coordinate documentation, prepare for inspections and audits, and support programme reviews and validations. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities will help ensure our programmes continue to meet the highest standards.

Postholder will be expected to work occasional weekends to support interviews.
We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum, pro rata. In recognition of this, the starting salary of this post has been increased to pay this higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 4 starting salary before living wage.
About You
We are seeking an organised and proactive individual with proven experience in providing high-level administrative and secretarial support, ideally within an educational environment. The successful candidate will understand university systems and processes, along with excellent organisational skills and a track record of supporting events and meetings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential, as is the ability to manage digital records and documentation effectively. You will be confident in responding to enquiries, resolving issues independently, and managing competing priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as is the ability to work collaboratively across teams and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. Adaptability, discretion, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are key qualities for this post.
Qualifications
Essential;
- 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes to include English and Mathematics
Desirable;
- Hold a relevant professional level qualification in either: administration, finance, HR or marketing
