About the role.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and pro-active information professional who enjoys working collaboratively with others to join us in this key role:
Key tasks include:
- The production of reading list guidance and promotional materials aimed at academic colleagues
- Actively promoting the benefits of reading list adoption for all modules and working collaboratively with subject colleagues to increase uptake
- Organising and delivering training; analytics and performance monitoring.
- Overseeing the process of reading list reviews and the resourcing of reading lists as a core task that drives our acquisition of teaching resources
Our Discovery and Resourcing Librarians supervise the work of support colleagues and have shared oversight and responsibility for second-line support enquiries to the team.
Communication and collaborative work are key to this post. Examples could include:
- Working with other colleagues in the team on projects that enhance our services and contribute to system improvements
- Contributing to sector wide special interest networks that support the development of reading lists.
- Working across Discovery and Resourcing, and with academic staff, to encourage the use of open access materials on reading lists.
About you
To be successful in this post you will:
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Establish good working relationships with library colleagues and external stakeholders
- Have excellent IT skills and aptitude
- Be self-motivated, reliably delivering work to agreed timeframes
- Take a flexible and adaptable approach to a changing library environment
You will have a professional qualification in a library/information related subject or be within 6 months of being awarded your PG Diploma. We are committed to fully supporting our staff in their continuing professional development

This post is part of a job-share. The hours are 18.5 per week, to be worked on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The exact hours each day will be agreed with your line manager.
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus.
£30,805 to £34,132 pro-rated as part time Grade E
