Following a recent rebrand to Oxford Lifelong Learning, we are embarking on an exciting project to redevelop our entire website from scratch. We are seeking an experienced Web Application Developer to play a pivotal role in this unique opportunity.
About the role
The Oxford Lifelong Learning website is an important platform, supporting a diverse set of activities and functions. We will be developing a brand-new codebase and implementing this alongside a new Content Management System (we are currently evaluating WordPress). This role requires a proactive Developer to deliver new features and functionality.
The role will work across the full-stack, developing for front and back-end as well as working with APIs and existing web applications. There will be a mix of working with new technology and the existing codebase.
This is a full-time (FTE) position, available on a fixed-term contract for maternity cover. The team works in the Rewley House office on Tuesdays and there will be an expectation of at least two days on-site working initially.
About you
You are an experienced Web Application Developer, working across full-stack technology. You have a proactive approach to development and have experience getting involved in all aspects of the development process from design to implementation.
You have knowledge of accessibility, SEO, and building with user experience in mind. You have an appreciation for different user needs and how to build this into a website that is inclusive for all.
You will play a key role in this project, developing innovative, accessible web pages and functionality and implementing and building upon a new website design. This will help shape the future of our online presence.
