The Role

We are looking to employ an Alumni Communications Assistant to join the College's Development Office. The Alumni Communications Assistant plays a critical role in building mutual beneficial, lifelong relationships with alumni. The successful applicant will be responsible (among other responsibilities) for producing and disseminating high-quality communications to Clare alumni and developing content for the website and social media channels for our growing alumni network.

This is a 60% FTE role (21.75 hours per week) and TOIL may be given at the discretion of the line manager.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge as it enters its 700th anniversary in 2026. Located in the heart of Cambridge city centre, the College is extraordinarily beautiful and famed for its gardens on “the Backs” (the famous backs of the Colleges that overlook the River Cam). Clare’s Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history.

Salary and Benefits

The salary will be up to £24,000 pro rata. In addition to this the post holder would be eligible for a bonus every year, and meals on duty. We also offer membership of a defined salary sacrifice pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and parking.
