The role
Based at our Headington Campus with a hybrid working model, the Global Recruitment Officer reports to the Global Recruitment Manager or Regional Manager. You will be responsible for developing and deploying recruitment strategies for a designated market (likely East Asia), supporting prospective students from initial enquiry through to enrolment. A key part of the role is managing and developing relationships with international agents, educational institutions, and alumni.
About the team
The Global Recruitment Officer is part of the Oxford Brookes Global team within the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and Engagement. We have ambitious plans to grow and diversify our international student recruitment, and we are passionate about supporting our global community. The team works to broaden worldwide access to an Oxford Brookes education and to enhance our reputation as a leading global university. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the directorate and the wider university to achieve these goals.
What will I be doing?
- Lead overseas missions and exhibitions in designated markets to recruit students.
- Provide training and account management for agents, ensuring they effectively promote the university.
- Develop and own recruitment plans for your region, adapting them in response to market changes.
- Conduct market research and provide expert advice on international qualifications and market conditions.
- Review and report on your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Engage with international students and alumni to build a strong global community.
- Work in partnership with marketing colleagues to deliver effective campaigns and collateral.
What skills do I need?
- Proven track record in delivering successful recruitment, sales, and/or marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and relationship management skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in international student mobility and/or working with international audiences.
- Direct experience within UK Higher Education.
- Experience working with at least one international recruitment channel.
- Experience in overseas business travel.
£36,636 rising to £39,906 (pro rata for part time)
