The role
We are looking to appoint a hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join the School as Deputy Student Administration Manager. This role is a rewarding leadership position in a friendly, busy team that covers undergraduate and postgraduate administration in the School of Sociology Politics and International Studies. This is a fixed term role arising from a secondment to another University role.
What will you be doing?
You will be working alongside, and deputising for, the Student Administration Manager, playing a key role in managing student administration processes, supporting students and academic staff, and supporting team members that you line manage as well as the wider team on a daily basis. You will provide expert advice on university policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice, while also handling escalated student issues with professionalism and care. The role involves working collaboratively to develop and enhance administrative processes, support the implementation of centrally led initiatives, and using data analysis to inform decision-making. As a key point of contact for student welfare concerns, you will help direct students to the appropriate support services, working closely with the Senior Tutor team.
You should apply if
You are a skilled administrator with experience in a student role, strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with staff and students at all levels. You should be confident in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proactive in identifying and driving process improvements.
