The role
Based at our Headington campus and reporting to the Head of Global Recruitment, the Deputy Head of Global Recruitment is responsible for directly managing significant regional recruitment teams, and contributing to leadership support to the wider global recruitment team.
The Deputy Head of Global Recruitment will also serve as the global liaison for one of the university's faculties, working closely with members of the Faculty Executive Leadership Team to advise on and deliver their global recruitment strategy. Additionally, this role will be responsible for creating, leading and delivering on at least one “Brookes Global Approach” to recruitment, whilst also identifying and taking a lead role on projects to improve global recruitment.
About the team
Within the Marketing, Recruitment and Engagement Directorate, the Brookes Global recruitment team are responsible for all global recruitment to the University, working closely with colleagues across the Marketing, Recruitment and Engagement Directorate, wider professional services and the faculties to achieve sustainable global recruitment targets.
What will I be doing?
Your key responsibilities will involve:
- Leading and developing high-performing regional recruitment teams, both in the UK and overseas, to drive sector-leading student recruitment and enhance the University's global reputation. This will include developing and regional recruitment plans and managing the regional budget effectively.
- Manage international recruitment channels and markets, undertake overseas missions, and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the University's international recruitment strategy by taking ownership of (institutional, global and/or regional) projects.
- Directly owning student recruitment from one or more of our key markets.
- Act as a crucial liaison with Faculties, providing expert guidance to meet international recruitment targets, and collaborate closely with marketing and senior leadership.

- Proven success in leading high-performing, remotely-based teams.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate a clear vision.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement to drive organisational change.
- Experience in leading and delivering transformation in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of operating overseas and leading teams based in different international locations.
- Experience of deputising for senior colleagues to internal and external audiences.
- Experience of managing several budgets.
